Town of Egg Harbor Comprehensive Planning

The Town of Egg Harbor in Door County is developing a comprehensive plan for the purpose of guiding and coordinating future development in the town over the next 20 years. The plan will inventory and analyze the town’s physical setting, natural and cultural features, population figures, housing stock, economics, transportation facilities, community facilities and land use.  Using these inventories and the plan’s approved vision statement, goals and objectives as well as cooperative efforts with neighboring jurisdictions, the town will develop an overall preferred land use plan. This comprehensive plan update also aids the town in complying the consistency requirements of s 66.1001- the state comprehensive planning law.  

Recognizing that the comprehensive plans must reflect the people they serve, the town encourages citizen input at all stages of the planning process.  Residents and property owners are highly encouraged to be active by attending planning meetings as your views have an impact on how your town will look in the future.
